New CareLine Launched for HIV and AIDS Patients, Including Those Receiving Preventative Therapy

Patient Advocate Foundation’s HIV, AIDS and Prevention CareLine complements current Co-Pay Relief program.

Hampton, VA  (November 11, 2015)– Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF), a national nonprofit committed to serving patients diagnosed with chronic, debilitating and life-threatening diseases  overcome healthcare obstacles, has launched a new CareLine dedicated specifically for those living with HIV, AIDS or receiving preventive treatment.  The HIV, AIDS and Prevention CareLine, available toll-free at (800) 532-5374, seeks to connect patients with individualized, case management services completely free of charge. The HIV, AIDS and Prevention CareLine joins PAF’s MedCareLine division which is staffed by professional insurance and healthcare experts who help patients with issues including insurance denials, resolution of medical debt, navigating the complexities of the disability system and assisting uninsured patients with fully evaluating coverage options and managing the subsequent enrollment process.   

“We know that certain disparate populations are disproportionately affected by HIV and AIDS. Therefore it’s important that we not only work together to break down those health disparities, but to also offer healthcare guidance to those who may traditionally have fewer avenues of support. PAF is committed to directly supporting and connecting patients with resources that will help guide their journey,” PAF CEO Alan Balch, Ph.D. says.

Bi-lingual case managers are available to assist Spanish speaking callers and many other languages are assisted through language-line support.

The Co-Pay Relief Program, a division of Patient Advocate Foundation, provides direct financial support for pharmaceutical co-payments to insured patients who financially and medically qualify.
