EHSQ solutions provider Pro-Sapien has released a new Permit to Work module. Like all of the vendor’s software, it is based on Microsoft technologies and utilizes the familiar, easy-to-use interface of Office 365.
Permit to Work (or Work Authorization Permit) is an essential tool in Process Safety Management, with both OSHA and the HSE branding it a means of better communication between management and operations. An Office 365 add-in, Pro-Sapien’s easy-to-use PTW module allows processes to happen at the core of the company’s IT, maximizing visibility.
Andy Gray, Principal Consultant at Pro-Sapien and the brains behind the module, said:
“A Permit to Work system is a core safety aspect in organizations where workers are exposed to dangerous work, be it working at a height, hot work, electrical isolation or other. By creating a platform that fits into a company’s existing IT infrastructure of Microsoft technologies, we’ve been able to provide a system that maximizes visibility across the wider organization, is user-friendly, and incorporates business processes. This system allows for workflow sign off and, as with all the forms, appropriate KPI measures can be accessed through Office 365 and SharePoint. The team behind this module are looking forward to deploying it with clients from April 2016 onwards.”
This aspect of Pro-Sapien’s wider solution, HSEQ Innovate, is a standalone system built with large, highly regulated organizations in mind. The system integrates into Office 365 as an add-in, alike to OneDrive, Delve, Sites, Mail etc., and is user friendly with a familiar Microsoft UI.
Permit to Work is available for roll out as of April 2016, with online demos being held on 27 and 28 April to showcase the module’s functionality. These demos are free to attend, are live and will run for around 30 minutes for both European and North American audiences.
